We feel it is important for our customers to understand the process that is involved in constructing a garage. Below we provide our company's step-by-step guide to completing a new garage build.

Our Building Process


  1. Removal of existing garage and haul.
  2. Area swept clean of all debris.


  1. Removal of all old concrete.
  2. Site excavation/preparation.
  3. New concrete floor with steel reinforcement.
  4. 4" air entrained concrete floor.
  5. High and dry water ledge system to prevent seepage.
  6. Transition apron (width of garage).
  7. All concrete to meet local building codes.


  1. All lumber is kiln dried and construction grade.
  2. Bottom plate is waterproof, wolmanized and bolted to concrete.
  3. Studs are 2" X 4" house construction grade (8' high standard).
  4. Double 2" X 12" full width headers combined for extra strength.
  5. Raised panel overhead door (choice of color and style).
  6. Weather stripping all around overhead door.
  7. Pre-finished moulding around doors (optional).
  8. Siding available in many colors and styles.


  1. Choice of roofing and colors.
  2. 15 lb. felt underlayment.
  3. Exterior grade sheathing.
  4. 2" x 6" heel cut rafters or engineered truss system.
  5. 2" X 6" wall ties.
  6. Top plate is double 2" X 4" interlocked at corners.
  7. Boxed in eaves completely sealed.
  8. Roof air vent with screen.
